Starbucks is shredding its deal in place since 2001, originally with MobileStar then T-Mobile, to switch to AT&T as their Wi-Fi provider.
Awesome. Were people actually paying $6/hr for T-Mobile at Starbucks? My inclination is no-goddamned-way, but I would probably not spring for AT&T’s $4 for 2 hours, either. Having an hour free when you pay with your stored-value card is a nice touch.
